Number Of Roughriders Earn WBL Honors

The Western Buckeye League announced the final tallies on its All-WBL teams in volleyball, boys and girls soccer teams this morning for the 2015 fall season.

A number of St. Marys players earned WBL honors in all three sports.

Both St. Marys girls and boys varsity soccer teams on their opening Division II sectional semifinal matches.

In the early game, the varsity girls soccer team defeated the Kenton Wildcats 1-0.

Courtney Helmlinger scored the lone goal for the Roughriders in the first half.

Committee Backs Full Staffing Levels

During Monday night's St. Marys Finance Committee meeting, members backed bringing the police department and general services department back to full staffing levels. Both departments were operating with one less person.

Kelly Wilker Wins WBL Championship

Kelly Wilker earned first-team honors Saturday as she took first place overall in the Western Buckeye League Meet in Van Wert. Wilker's time of 19:10 was the best on Saturday.

Jill Schmitmeyer Finishes T-19th At State

St. Marys sophomore golfer Jill Schmitmeyer finished tied for 19th place in the Division II girls golf state competition, competing in a 36-hole, two-day match at The Ohio State University Gray Golf Course in Upper Alrington.

Roughriders Put 50 on Defiance, win 50-12

The St. Marys Roughriders bounced back in a big way beating Defiance 50-12 in Western Buckeye League action Friday night at Skip Baughman Stadium. Dustin Howell was seven for 27 yards and three scores, and 6 of 11 passing for 78 yards and a passing TD.
