Woman Arrested In Burglary Investigation

A Delphos woman was arrested on Wednesday in connection with a burglary in the county.
At approximately 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, the Auglaize County Sheriff's Office received a phone call reporting a burglary in the 10,000 block of Kelly Road, north of Wapakoneta. Two people were reportedly seen leaving a residence. No one was home at the of the incident.
Deputies responded to the scene and started their investigation. Information at the scene led investigators to develop a suspect. Working with the Delphos and Van Wert police departments, law enforcement agents arrested Michelle L. Porter, 46, of Delphos, on a burglary charge. Detectives are still working the case and additional arrests could be coming in the near future.
"Many times we get called after the witness talks with someone else and then decide to call," Auglaize County Sheriff Al Solomon said in a news release. "In this case, we were notified immediately and were able to saturate the area and work the case right away."
