“I thought our defense was really good tonight,” Flyers head coach Amy Steininger said. “I thought we hustled a lot out there and our communication was really good and we moved well and were scrappy out there.”

“We had a hard time handling their servers tonight,” Rangers head coach Jill Roode said. “They were able to score multiple points and that hurt us. We are young but we have the sectionals coming up and more MAC matches.  We have to let this go because we have more things to worry about.”

“We have to take what we learned tonight,” Roode said. “We will work on serve-receive on Friday and Monday and the rest of the season.”

Claire Heitkamp had 14 kills in the match and seven service points.

“Claire is very consistent,” Steininger said. “She averages about 14 kills a match and she is our steady, go to player.”

Madison Lammers had seven service points and three kills for the Rangers.

The Flyers (10-3, 6-0) will compete in the Convoy-Crestview Invitational on Saturday, while the Rangers (11-4, 4-2) will travel to the Van Wert Invite Saturday.
