St. Marys Boys Bowling Advances To Districts

The St. Marys Roughriders varsity boys bowling team advanced to district as they finished first in the Division II sectional round Friday night at Community Lanes in Minster.

The top four teams advance to district in the field of 12 teams.

St. Marys took the top spot with a team total of 4,287 pins, ahead of Coldwater (4,263), St. Henry (3,884) and Shawnee (3,881).

Austin Cook led the Roughriders with a 636 series with a high-game of 234. He also bowled a 214 and a 188.

Hunter Murphy was right behind him with a 635 series, including a high-game of 246. He also bowled a 188 and a 201.

Cook finished with the third most amount of pins and Murphy finished fourth.

Kelsey Shannon finished with a 570 series (177, 180, 213) and Collin Vandever rolled a 554 series (177, 184, 193).

Hunter Woods rolled two games, finishing with a 424 series (222, 202).

The Roughriders will play at Interstate Lanes in Rossford on Friday in the Division II district tournament.
