Pending Board of Education approval, Minster High School has named Reetta Piipari as head girls basketball coach.

Piipari was a member of Minster’s 1998 state championship team.

She went on to play four years at Xavier University and has spent 12 seasons playing professional basketball in Finland and Spain.

During her time playing professionally, she has also been the head coach at several clubs in Finland.

Piipari is taking over for Nann Stechschulte, who resigned as head coach of the Wildcats' basketball program in March after 27 years at the position.

Minster is coming off a 21-5 season overall and a Midwest Athletic Conference title with a perfect 9-0 mark. The Wildcats' season ended in the Division IV regional semifinal to Fort Loramie.
