Minster girls CC team, New Knoxville's Kuntz headed to state meet

The Minster girls cross country team and New Knoxville's Isaac Kuntz are headed to Hebron.

The Wildcats and the Ranger sophomore will run at National Trail Raceway next Saturday morning in the Division III state cross country championships.

Minster will run at 11 a.m. and Kuntz will run in the boys Division III race at 1:30 p.m.

Division II at Tiffin

A pair of Roughriders finished their cross country seasons on Saturday at Tiffin.

St. Marys junior Nick Durkee finished 33rd in the boys Division II race with a 17:11.91 time.

St. Marys freshman Hannah Tobin finished 93rd in the Division II girls race with a 23:01 time.

Division III boys at Tiffin

New Knoxville's Isaac Kuntz is headed to the state tournament after a sixth-place finish at the Division III boys regional race at Tiffin.

The Minster boys cross country team finished one spot out of a state berth. The Wildcat boys took fifth with 184 points — 22 points behind fourth-place Hopewell-Loudon.

Coldwater won the Division III race and Cavalier runner Mike Seas was the individual regional champ with a 16:16 time.

Division III girls at Troy

The Minster girls cross country team finished in the fourth and final team qualifying spot for the state cross country meet in the Division III regional at Troy.

Minster edged Russia by two points to give themselves a crack at a fifth straight state title.

Minster junior Hannah Butler paced Minster with an 18th-place finish and a 20:31 time.

Fort Loramie took third and will head to state, as well.
