Girls Basketball: Rangers, Cardinals Win

The New Bremen Cardinals and the New Knoxville Rangers varisty girls basketball teams won both their games today, both in non-conference action.

The New Bremen Cardinals defeated Tri-Village 47-42 in overtime.

Debbie Paul made a layup with five seconds left to tie the game at 37-37 and send the game into overtime. There, the Cardinals outscored Tri-Village 10-5 for their secodn win of the season.

Alyse Clune led the Cardinals with 12 points, 20 rebounds and 22 assists. Paige Jones recorded five pointsand 18 rebounds.

Sara Steineman collected seven points and 19 boards.

The New Knoxville Rangers took down Lehman Catholic, 44-21 in non-conference action.

Kenzie Schroer led the Rangers with 17 points. Rachel Leffel added 11 points and Jenna Schwieterman recorded six points.
