LIMA — The Ada Bulldogs exploited Waynesfield-Goshen's weakness against the pass with a vengeance in a 50-15 win in a Division VI regional quarterfinal playoff win at Lima Stadium on Friday night.

The Bulldog offense went to the air in the first half almost exclusively, and almost always with success. Before the first half had ended, Senior signal-caller Mason Acheson had completed 16-of-19 passes for 263 yards and carried his team to a 36-0 halftime lead.

“We like to throw,” Ada  head coach Mike Fell said. “That’s what this offense is designed to do.”

The loss marked the end of the Tigers fourth playoff trip in nine seasons. However, the team is still looking for its first postseason win.

Waynesfield-Goshen made the playoffs with a 4-6 record.

Ada had two receivers hit the century mark, with Micah Roberson catching 5 passes for 105 yards and Jacob Ansley catching six for 137 yards. Kellen Decker ran the ball for 103 yards.

FINDLAY — Ottawa-Glandorf’s Caleb Siefker ran for more than 180 yards and four touchdowns and the Titans stomped Lorain Clearview at Donnell Stadium.

The game was moved to the Findlay stadium after field conditions made a game at Titan Stadium impossible.

O-G will now face Mike Vicars’ unbeaten Genoa squad in a Division IV regional semifinal showdown.

LEIPSIC — Delphos St. John’s Tyler Jettinghoff scored  touchdown with less than two minutes left to lift the Blue Jays to a Division VI playoff win over Leipsic.

DSJ will play Fremont St. Joe’s next Friday night.
