A Columbus Grove woman faces multiple criminal charges following an incident in the Walmart parking lot Thursday afternoon in Wapakoneta.
Angela L. Price, 37, of Columbus Grove, was arrested and currently faces charges of trafficking in drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and illegal weapons/items onto the grounds of a detention facility, a third-degree felony. Members of the Auglaize/Mercer Grand Lake Drug Task Force along with deputies, troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and officers from the Wapakoneta Police Department, made the arrest after Price was allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine.
Officials have yet to release how much cocaine was seized during the arrest.
According to online court records, Price appeared for a bond hearing via video in Auglaize County Municipal Court on Thursday and was ordered held on a $100,000 bond with a 10 percent cash provision. A preliminary hearing has yet to be scheduled. If convicted on the current charges, Price faces a maximum of six years in prison.
“Our drug task force continues to fight the drug problem in this county,” Auglaize County Sheriff Al Solomon said in a news release. “They did a great job on this incident and I assure you there will be more.”
