The St. Marys Roughriders varsity boys soccer team had chances, plenty, in the second half, but could not break through against Celina, falling 3-0 to the Bulldogs in the Division II district semifinal match at Elida Middles School. The Roughriders were shut out in both game played against the Bulldogs this season, losing 1-0 earlier this season.

Garrett Weininger passed the ball to Brennen Piper who headed the ball into the back of the goal to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead with 23:24 left in the first half. A Hank Thobe goal gave the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead with 17:12 left in the first half.

Celina's last goal came with 25:47 left in regulation when Sean Kosterman scored, putting the game away. It is the second straigt way the Roughriders have been eliminated by the Bulldogs in the postseason.
