“We feel like it helps us,” New Knoxville head coach Tony Hunt said. “Our guys work the ball well, they pass well and they’re fast. We’d like this field to be a bit wider, but we do like the turf.”

Three Rangers scored two goals apiece and New Knoxville won its 10th game of the season for just the second time in the program’s history.

“We had a ten-win season and only had a 14-game regular season,” Hunt said. “It’s nice. The guys are working hard.”

The Rangers advance to the sectional final against Fort Jennings on Saturday at approxiamately 2:30 p.m. at Lima Stadum. Fort Jennings is coached by former New Knoxville head coach Gregg Luthmann.
