Amanda Weigandt Wells, 31

Mrs. Amanda Weigandt Wells, 31, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, surrounded by her family at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, Ill., because of complications incurred during the birth of her daughter, Abigail Juliana (AJ).

Mandi was born on Feb. 7, 1980, in Minster, to Richard and Juliana Weigandt, and they survive her in Minster.

On Sept. 15, 2007, in Syracuse, Ind., she married Leighton Wells, and he survives her.

She is survived by  her brother, Todd (Julianne) Weigandt of Minster; her sister, Dee Dee (Stan) Bender of Troy; her twin sister, Abi (Doug) Bardasian of St. Louis, Mo.; her mother and father-in-law, Jeff and Cindy Wells of Syracuse, Ind.; her sister-in-law, Cassandra Wells of Chicago, Ill.; her grandparents, Ralph Larger of Minster; Leighton’s grandparents, Bill and Barbara Beemer.

Mandi loved spending her free time with her nieces and nephews, Madyson, Savannah, Ireland, Shania, Stone, Tag, Guy, Star, Lawson and Mayer. Mandi also loved the time she spent walking her boxer, Casey. Mandi was an avid water-skier and thoroughly enjoyed spending her weekends with her family at Lake Wawasee in Syracuse, Ind.

Mandi was a graduate of Minster High School in 1998 and graduated from Miami University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority. Mandi was a medical representative with Genentech in Chicago, Ill., where she was a member of the President’s Club.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at Eastlund Funeral Home in Syracuse, Ind.,  followed by burial service at Syracuse cemetery. Viewing services will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Eastlund Funeral Home in Syracuse, Ind.

Donations in Mandi’s honor can be made to Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Ill. Condolences may be made at
