Emma Jane Hostetler, 93, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2014, in Gilbert, Ariz.
She was born on March 10, 1920, in St. Marys, to Guy and Nora (Baber) Schamp, Emma was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who had a passion for gardening, cooking, bingo, travel and her rose bushes.
She was a long-time member of Victory Lutheran Church. Emma worked as an assembler for many years in various companies such as a toy factory, Westinghouse and worked locally for Motorola for 19 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, her first husband Burl Blackburn, who died in World War II, and her second husband of 41 years, Forest Hostetler, who passed away in 1987.
Emma is survived by her son, Jack (Lori) Hostetler, grandsons Kyle (Jessica) Hostetler and Troy Hostetler, great-granddaughter Matilda Grace Hostetler and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mariposa Gardens Funeral Care, 400 S. Power Road in Mesa, Ariz.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date in the spring. Arrangements are entrusted to Mariposa Gardens, 480-830-4422.
