Marjorie Jones, 87, of 902 Jackson St., St. Marys, died at 10:54 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Briarwood Manor Nursing Home in Coldwater.
She was born on March 23, 1926, in Moulton, the daughter of Grant and Nora (Hines) Tester.
She married Joseph Jones on Sept. 1, 1946; he preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 1999.
She is survived by her four children, Ron J. (Carol) Jones of New Bremen; Gregory (Pam) Jones of St. Marys; Debra (Rees) McKee of St. Marys; Corrine (Dennis) Craft of St. Marys; by nine grandchildren; by 11 great-grandchildren; by one sister, Betty Vogel of St. Marys.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and nine siblings.
Marjorie was a 1943 graduate of Wapakoneta High School. She retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 37 years of service as an inspector.
She enjoyed making crafts, bowling, gardening, pets and dancing. She was dearly loved by her family and friends.
She was a member of Saint Paul’s United Church of Christ in St. Marys.
Funeral rites will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, the Rev. Ed Bray, officiant.
Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Miller Funeral Home, where memorial gifts may be given to either Saint Paul’s United Church of Christ or Briarwood Manor Nursing Home.
