Minster junior Ethan Wolf announced on Twitter on Wednesday night that he has verbally committed to play college football at the University of Tennessee and new head coach Butch Jones.
“after a long hard recruiting process .. i decided to become a Tennessee Volunteer!!” Wolf tweeted on Wednesday.
Wolf, a 6-foot-5 tight end who caught 43 passes for 563 yards and eight touchdowns for the Wildcats this season, held a checkerboard-painted brick that said ‘committed’ on it while wearing a Vols cap and shirt in a picture he posted to Twitter while in Knoxvillle on Wednesday.
Wolf had offers from about 20 Division I college football programs, several recruiting websites reported. Wolf will play for Butch Jones, who left the University of Cincinnati this past offseason to take the job in Knoxville.
Wolf is a three-sport player, playing tight end and on the defensive line in football while being the catcher on the Wildcat baseball team and a center on the basketball team.
