Glen S. “Grinny” Fox, 89, of Celina, died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Van Wert County Hospital of natural causes.
He was born on Sept. 14, 1923, in Mendon, to parents Pete Fox and Hazel Stewart, both of whom preceded him in death.
He married his first wife, Dorothy Fox, on Feb. 8, 1945, and she preceded him in death in Nov. 1985.
On Sept. 6, 1993, he married Kathy Clay Fast Fox, who survives.
Also surviving is a son, Tim and Diana Fox of Franklin, N.C.; two stepsons, Tom Fast of Westerville and Tim and Danene Fast of Worthington; two daughters, Debi and David VanGundy of Celina and Pamela Stose of Celina; one stepdaughter, Tara Fast of Upper Arlington; one brother; one sister; four sisters-in-law; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by five brothers; one sister; one son-in-law, Everett Stose.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Pauls United Church of Christ, the Rev. Catherine Costello, officiant.
Burial will be held in the UCC cemetery.
The Celina VFW and and American Legion will provide military rites at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and at the cemetery on Saturday.
Calling hours will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, and one hour before services Saturday at the church.
