Tracy Loyer Greve, 49, formerly of Botkins and Waynesfield, died at 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at the Pavillion of Sidney, following a long battle with cancer.
She was born on Sept. 26, 1963, in St. Marys, the daughter of Edward and L. Jean (Ketcham) Loyer.
She is survived by her four children, Jennifer (John) Leighty of Quincy, Brent Karbowiak of Delaware, Lyndsy (Josh) McNamara of Columbus Grove, James (Michelle) Copus of Bucyrus; by her former husband, James Copus of Wapakoneta; by her brother, Wayne (Pat) Loyer of St. Marys; her sister, Deb (Gil) Ralston of Wapakoneta; by five grandchildren, Summer Karbowiak, Preston Leighty, Clayton McNamara, Tyler Copus and Dalton McNamara.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Tracy was a 1982 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. She had formerly worked at Dana Corporation in Lima, where she had been a machine operator. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys.
She will be remembered as a person who was always helping others. She loved being with her grandchildren, going shopping, taking caring of her dogs, making jewelry and researching her genealogy.
Funeral rites will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road in St. Marys, the Rev. Don Burley, officiant.
Friends may call from noon until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be made to Tracy’s family.
