William “Bill” Wisener, 56, of 904 Tecumseh Drive, St. Marys, died suddenly at 11:57 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys, after suffering an apparent heart attack.
He was born June 4, 1956, in Lima, the son of Mark and Mary (Edmiston) Wisener.
He married Marty Fry on May 19, 1984, and she survives at the residence.
He is also survived by his mother, Mary Wisener Pruitt of Wapakoneta; by his three children: Emily (Joe) Chilcoat of Beavercreek, Brian (Amanda Frey) Wisener of St. Marys, Nichole “Nikki” Wisener of St. Marys; by his siblings, Wanda Edmiston of Wapakoneta, Mark Wisener, Jr. of Wapakoneta, Deb Shaner of Russells Point, John Wisener of the Dominican Republic, Tilly Tirado of Tampa, Florida, and Gary Pruitt of Tampa, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Wisener Sr.; by two brothers, Terry Edmiston and Kent Wisener.
Bill was a 1974 graduate of Wapakoneta High School. He was an HVAC Technician, employed at Quality Plumbing and Heating in St. Marys.
He was a member of First English Church in Wapakoneta. He loved going hunting with his son, fishing, making and flying remote control airplanes and going camping with his family.
He was very proud of his annual Christmas light display at his home, and he put many hours into the process each year.
Funeral rites will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, Pastor Jim Swaggart and Brian Wisener, officiants.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to Operation Christmas Child.
