Joseph K. Wilson, 73, of New Bremen, died in the early morning Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at his residence.
He was born on Feb. 9, 1939, in Covington, the son of Robert W. and Frances (Brunap) Wilson, and they preceded him in death.
On Aug. 20, 1976, he married Patricia Krieg, and she survives near New Bremen.
He is also survived by his children, Dan Wilson of Evansville, Ind., Joe (Denise) Wilson of Willshire, John (Linda) Wilson of Greencastle, Ind., Diane (Rodney) Wilson of Rockford, Delilah (Colt) Starlain of Portland, Ind., Mathew (Jennifer) Wilson of Houston, Texas, and Christine (Matt) Schlater and Brianne Wilson, both of Celina; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his brother, James (Janice) Wilson of Bremen, Ind.; his mother-in-law, Ruth Krieg of New Bremen; his in-laws, Carol Wilson of New Bremen, Harold (Doris) Krieg of New Bremen, Jean (Ron) Olberding of Minster, Don (Dorothy) Krieg of Wapakoneta, Larry (Sue) Krieg of Greencastle, Ind., Marlene (John) Long of St. Marys and Marvin Krieg of New Bremen.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wilson; his sister, Sally Fischer; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Joe was a 1957 graduate of New Bremen High School. He enjoyed fishing, working outdoors and watching “Gunsmoke” reruns. He retired in 2001 from the former Dairy Farms Products of New Bremen and was currently working at the Cardinal Express of New Bremen.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, with the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
