Gertrude E. Ripploh, 90, of Minster, died at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minster.
She was born on Sept. 20, 1922, in Colifax, Ill., to Richard and Stella (Fitzpatrick) Kelley, and they preceded her in death.
She married her first husband Deidrich in 1943, and he preceded her in death in 1958. She married her second husband William A. Ripploh on Jan. 2, 1961, in St. Marys, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 2011.
She is survived by her children, Jeri Howard of Wapakoneta, Christine Diedrich of St. Marys, Joanne (Eugene) Schoenlein of Wapakoneta, Jane (Clyde) Miller of Minster, Carol Diedrich of Minster, Lois (Robert) Dietz of Botkins, Paula (Mike) McGown of Minster and Ted (Jennifer) Ripploh of Minster; a daughter-in-law, Anna Diedrich of Celina; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Ruth Finke of St. Marys and Betty Ann (Jim) Sampson of St. Marys.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Diedrich; a son-in-law, Michael Howard; a grandchild; five siblings, Lucille Bailey, Bernard Kelley, Bernie Isenberger, Richard Kelley and Frank Kelley.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster, the Minster F.O.E. Auxiliary 1391, the American Legion Auxiliary and an officer of the Lake Loramie Improvement Association. She retired form Goodyear after 30 years of service.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home Minster.
