Eugene B. “Gene” Pleiman, 80, of Russia, died at 5:14 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at Wilson Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Aug. 8, 1932, in Russia, to August A. and Lavera (Voisard) Pleiman, and they preceded him in death.
On Nov. 28, 1953, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles, he married Mary Louise Finfrock, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 21, 2001.
He is survived by his daughters, Becky Pleiman of Russia, Diann (David) McGarvey of Davidsonville, Md., and Lori Ward of Lebanon; two grandchildren; seven siblings.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie; an infant son, Michael; a brother.
He served in the U.S. Army Counter Intelligence Corps during the Korean War.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the St. Remy Catholic Church in Russia, with the Rev. Frank Amberger officiating. Burial will take place at St. Remy Cemetery.
