ST. MARYS — The St. Marys boys golf team defeated the Kenton Wildcats 168-181 on Monday at Northmoor in a WBL opener.

St. Marys' Carter Bowman earned medalist honors with a one-under par 35. The St. Marys sophomore ace played the first eight holes in three-under par before a double-bogey five on the par 3 ninth hole.
Matt Severt shot a 41 for the Riders from the third position.
Colin Burke shot a 43 at the second position.
Cobain Applegate had a 47 in the fourth position.
Kyle Kiefer had a 52 for St. Marys from the sixth position and closed out his round by narrowly missing a hole in one. The ball hit near the hole and spun away.
Rider third position southpaw Steven Axe had a 53.
Anthony McKee was low man for Kenton with a three-over par 39. Britton Hensel had a 44, Damon Roll shot a 46 while Zach Miller and Grant Cole each had 52s.
NEW BREMEN 163, COLDWATER 210
CELINA — New Bremen went low on its trip to Mercer County to score a 163-210 Midwest Athletic Conference victory over Coldwater at the Mercer County Elks on Monday. Darin Bergman was medalist with a 38. Alex Britton carded a 39, Travis Bertelsen had a 42 and Tyler Hagen added a 44 for the 163 team score. Zach Hegemier shot a 48 and Aaron Hegemier had a 49 to round out the Cardinal line-up.
MINSTER 159, FORT RECOVERY 185
MINSTER – The Minster boys golf team opened Midwest Athletic Conference play with a 159-185 win over the Indians on Monday at Arrowhead Golf Club. Xavier Francis took medalist honors with an even par 36. Josh Tumbusch shot a 39 while John Burke and Sam Schutte carded 42s for the Wildcats. Austin Brackman added a 44 and Freddie Purdy shot a 46 for Minster.
