The St. Marys softball team had three players named to the All-Western Buckeye League softball list released on Monday.
Harle Smith, a St. Marys senior third baseman, earned first team All-WBL honors.
Kiley Schamp, a Roughrider senior centerfielder, was a second team selection.
Lexi Roop, a junior pjitcher, was honorable mention.
Camille Martin of Bath was named the league’s top player.
Bath’s Laura Ford and Nicole Driggs of Celina were co-coaches of the year.
Along with Smith, other WBL first-teamers were Bath sophomore pitcherKimmy Reynolds, Celina freshman outfielder Alexis Zacharias, Celina sophomore second baseman Kaity Kuhn, Celina junior shortstop and pitcher Kylee Bader, Kenton senior catcher Jackie Stalder, Shawnee junior catcher Britt Lauck, Wapakoneta junior second baseman Carli Sammons, and Wapakoneta sophomore pitcher Renee Lovett.
Eight of the ten first-team players were underclassmen.
Along with Schamp, other second teamers were Bath second baseman Amber Mosley, Bath catcher and shortstop Mary Deppe, Celina third baseman Leah Rose, Elida catcher Jenn Eilerman, Kenton pitcher Morgan Goecke, O-G pitcher Hayley Kitchen, Shawnee third baseman Mo Truxal, Shawnee shortstop Shelby Lucas and Wapak shortstop and outfielder Ashley Knippen.
Third-team selections were Bath first baseman Lydia Hammer, Celina pitcher and shortstop Katie Kerr, Defiance catcher and first baseman Emily Gallant, Elida shortstop Sabrina Kline, O-G centerfielder Molly Closson, Shawnee centerfielder Liz Aller, Van Wert first baseman Brittany Bigham and Wapak outfielder Marcie Grothause.
Along with St. Marys’ Roop on the honorable mention list are Bath’s Julia Miller, Celina’s Hillary Heiby, Defiance’s Kathryn Riehle, Elida’s Caitie Shroyer, Kenton’s Gwen Downing, O-G’s Stephanie Hampfling, Shawnee’s Sam Bullock, Van Wert’s maggie Almandinger and Wapak’s Courtney Knippen and Katie Sawmiller.
