Geraldine Miller, longtime St. Marys resident, current resident of Malibu, Calif., passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2012, in Santa Monica, Calif., of pulmonary disease.
She was born in Spencerville, to Amy and Gerald Koening, and they preceded her in death.
In 1951, she married William Miller of St. Marys.
She is survived by her children, Tonya Hull, Deandra Vallier of Hood River, Ore., Terry Miller of Phoenix, Ariz., and Barton Miller of Boston, Mass.; her siblings, Janet Evans and Jim Koenig of Spencerville and Ted Koenig of Delphos; three grandchildren, Kelly, Wesley and Zachary Miller, all of Phoenix, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kendra Miller in 2009 in Phoenix, Ariz.
She graduated from Spencerville High School in 1948, where she was one of the first cheerleaders for the Spencerville teams. She was a loving wife and mother to her five children.
The Millers moved to Paradise Valley, Ariz., in 1970, where she was active in PTA, Girl Scouts and enjoyed golfing in her spare time. She moved to Malibu, Calif., in 2010 to live the rest of her life with her daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Jim Hull.
Her love of life and spirited personality was an inspiration to all who knew her, and she was a fun and lively lady until the very end of her life.
