MINSTER — Minster got its first win of the season on Thursday night, defeating Lehman 64-53.
Minster started the second quarter on a 10-0 run thanks to four baskets by Ethan Wolf. Wolf finished with 16 points for Minster, while Adam Niemeyer scored 14 and Poeppelman added 13.
“(Wolf is) just a sophomore, but with a lack of physical presence that we have in terms of depth, we need that from him and hopefully this is a confidence builder for him," Lee said.
Alex Baker scored a game-high 21 points for Lehman, including five, three-pointers. Solomon King-White scored 15 for the Cavs.
Minster shot 50 percent from the floor on the night, including hitting 4-of-7 three-point attempts. Lehman, meanwhile, shot just 34.5 percent from the floor, while connecting on 5-of-20 three-pointers.
Minster (1-3) will travel to Spencerville tonight.
