BELLEVUE — Elida advanced in the playoffs for the second straight year with a convincing 54-20 win over Bellevue on Friday night. The Bulldogs scored on each of their eight possessions. Elida quarterback Reggie McAdamsn threw for 355 yards and five touchdowns and rushed for three more touchdowns. The Bulldogs (8-3) will now face Region 10 top seed Columbus St. Francis DeSales (8-3) next Friday night.

Coldwater 31, Covington 7
COVINGTON —Coldwater feels right at home in the playoffs. They showed it again on Friday night. The Cavaliers showed no hangover effects from last Friday night’s regular season ending loss to Minster as Coldwater defeated previously unbeaten Covington, 31-7, in a Division V regional quarterfinal. Coldwater improved to 15-2 in first round playoff games. They’ve won 14 straight Week 11 games since losing to Versailles in 1997. The Cavalier scored the game’s final 24 points after Covington tied the game 7-7 in the second quarter. Four of Coldwater’s five scoring drives were four plays or fewer. Coldwater quarterback Austin Bruns went 9-of-15 for 174 yards passing. He also ran 13 times for 71 yards and two TDs. Coldwater now will play fellow MAC squad Versailles next Friday night. The Cavaliers beat Versailles, 36-19, during the regular season on Sept. 23.
Versailles 48, West Liberty-Salem 21
WEST LIBERTY — Versailles successfully returned to the playoffs for the first time since 2005 with a thorough dissection of West Liberty Salem, 48-21, on Friday night.
Despite being seeded eighth, Versailled knocked off the previously unbeaten and top-seeded Tigers.

Liberty-Benton 45, Lima Central Catholic 35
LIMA — Liberty-Benton stunned Division V’s top-ranked team with a 45-35 upset at Lima Stadium on Friday night. L-B advances to play Hicksville, which knocked off Hopewell-Loudon, 28-7. L-B’s Brady Vaught rushed for 265 yards and three touchdowns.
