Margaret A. Bruns, 94, formerly of Egypt, died at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
She was born on Sept. 11, 1917, in Maria Stein, to the Henry and Lena (Hoelscher) Rutschilling, and they preceded her in death.
On April 23, 1941, at St. John Catholic Church in Maria Stein, she married Clarence Bruns, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1959.
She is survived by her children, Jan and Jim Slankard of Somerton, Ariz., Lucy and Duane Barga of North Star, Ruth Bruns and Raymond McDonald of Dayton, Michael Bruns of Fort Loramie, Vicki and Bob Leimbach of Vermillion, Rita and Leon Hemmert of Botkins and Paul and Beck Bruns of Maria Stein; two sisters; a sister-in-law; 26 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law; four sisters and brothers; four in-laws.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Egypt, with the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Egypt.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.
