Who: Minster opens the state ACME tournament on Saturday at noon against Springfield, the District 6 champion, a week after winning its own district crown at St. Henry over Coldwater in the final best-of-three series.
Notes: Minster's trip to the state ACME tournament comes on the heels of a Division IV state baseball championship in June ... Other teams in the tournament include Defiance, Springfield, Lima Shawnee, Toledo Central Catholic, Greenville and Vandalia ... Minster is making its second-ever state ACME appearance. The Wildcats advanced to the 2004 state ACME tournament ... Fans may want to head out early to get to state ACME games. Celina's Lake Festival is also ongoing during the first weekend of the tournament, making for some heavy traffic ... Celina is hosting the state ACME tournament for the second straight year.
