John Wayne McGough, 67, of 208 Portland St., Celina, died at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011, at the St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born on Feb. 16, 1944, in Celina, to Wallace and Genevieve (Stiner) McGough, and they preceded him in death.
On Jan. 27, 1973, he married Sharon Hanna, and she survives him in Celina.
He is also survived by his children, Tambra and Josh Kimmel of Celina, David and Nikki Hole of Celina, Tracy Hole and Nikki Riley of Celina; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; three sisters.
He was preceded in death by a brother; two sisters; a sister-in-law.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He received a Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with the Rev. Richard Van Horn officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery with military honors by the Celina American Legion Post No. 210 and the Celina Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 5713.
