Minster 8th in latest girls AP Poll

The Minster girls basketball team is ranked eighth in the latest Division IV Associated Press girls basketball poll released on Tuesday night.

The Wildcats (12-2) are riding a six-game winning streak, the latest victory a 54-41 win over Ottoville on Saturday.

Minster goes to Parkway on Thursday and hosts Troy on Saturday afternoon.

Minster neighbor Fort Loramie is third in the Division IV poll. The Redskins (13-1) received four first-place votes and trail first-place Newar Catholic and second-place Reedsville Eastern.

Marion Local is ninth with a 13-2 record.

In Division III, the Western Buckeye League and Midwest Athletic Conference are both represented with Ottawa-Glandorf (13-2) in eighth place and Versailles (12-2) in 10th with one first-place vote.

Lima Bath (12-1), coming off wins over St. Marys and Ottoville, is ranked 10th in Division II.
