3rd Arrest Made In Reineke Case

April 20, 2015

ST. MARYS — A Lima man was arrested Monday morning in connection with a decades old homicide.

Brian S. Guggenbiller, 51, was arrested on one count of aggravated murder for his alleged role in the 1981 death of Marcellus Reineke, of St. Marys. Guggenbiller was taken into custody by officers from the St. Marys Police Department, Lima Police Department and agents from the FBI.

Fire Damages Front Street Home

April 15, 2015

ST. MARYS — A basesment fire damaged a home in St. Marys Wednesday morning.

Shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday, crews from the St. Marys Fire Department arrived at 542 N. Front St. on a report of a basement fire. Crews quickly attacked the flames. Witnesses at the scene told The Evening Leader everyone got out of the home safely.
