WAPAKONETA — The St. Marys wrestling team split a pair of Western Buckeye League matches on Thursday, defeating Van Wert, 40-33, while taking a 51-24 loss Wapakoneta.
ST. MARYS 40, VAN WERT 33
St. Marys winners:
— At 170 pounds, Collin Reier earned a victory by pin over Van Wert’s Gabe Hill at the 5:38 mark of the third period.
— St. Marys’ Neil Perry earned a 15-5 decision over Tyler Turnwald at 182 pounds.
— Spencer Knous pinned Bradie Strowser at 195 pounds at the 0:59 second mark of the first period.
— Justin Nedderman at 106 pounds pinned Korbin Schlalois.
— Garrett Hower got a win at 113 pounds via a void.
— St. Marys’ Austin Quellhorst pinned Reed Barter at 120 pounds at the 2:48 mark of the second period.
— The Riders’ Corey Nedderman pinned Van Wert’s Chandler Adams at the 2:26 mark of the second period at 132 pounds.

St. Marys winners:
— Hower won via void at 113 pounds for the Riders.
— Corey Nedderman pinned Wapakoneta’s Valentine at the 4:49 mark of the third period at 132 pounds.

— At 152 pounds, St. Marys’ Ryan Slife won a 6-0 decision.
