Woodrow W. Rickman, 95

Woodrow W. Rickman, 95, formerly of 515 Locust St., St. Marys, died on Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at Otterbein – St. Marys.

He was born on Feb. 20, 1917, in St. Marys, to Uriah and Ora (Bass) Rickman, and they preceded him in death.

On Oct. 8, 1941, in Lima, he married Mildred Harper, and she survives.

He is also survived by a son, Woodrow (Sharon Duncan) Rickman II of St. Marys; a daughter, Vickie Lynn Beining of Lima; five grandchildren, Matthew, Jennelle and Ashley Beining and Michael (Marina) and Matthew Rickman.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Rickman and Uriah Rickman; four sisters, Mary Bowles, Eva Cottman, Ina Seeney and Ida Belle Rickman.

He was a retired production employee with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in St. Marys. He was a member of the Shawnee Community of Christ in Lima.

He enjoyed fishing, boating and spending winters in Florida.

Rites are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel), St. Marys, with Elder Robert Deitsch officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
