Wilma “Jean” Mahaffey, 73

Wilma “Jean” Mahaffey, 73, of Bucyrus, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, in Mansfield Med Central. 

Wilma was born on March 14, 1940, in Wapakoneta, to the late George William and Ina Mae (Webb) Howell. 

She was married on Oct. 24, 1959, to Robert “Bob” Mahaffey, who preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 2000.

 Wilma is survived by children Bobbi (Dan) Howard Jr. of Crestline, Krys (Donnie) Erwin of Bucyrus, Erik Mahaffey of Bucyrus, grandchildren Shadd (Ashley) Spencer, Makenna Howard, Jennifer (Bryson) Moorehead and Noah Erwin, great-grandchildren Brynn Spencer, Trytan Spencer, and Braylee Moorehead, brothers Michael Howell and George W. Howell Jr. and sisters Elizabeth Ann (John) Davis and Mary Janet (Bill) McGowan all of St. Marys.

 Wilma moved to this area in 1980 and worked in Home Health Care for 20 years.  She graduated from Memorial High School in St. Marys and was a member of New Day Ministries in Bucyrus.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, where services will be held at 7 p.m., the Rev. Ted Thomas officiating. 

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Resthaven Memory Gardens in St. Marys.
