William L. Warren, 79, of St. Marys, died suddenly on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at his residence.
He was born on Aug. 23, 1934, in Adams County, the son of James and Judy (Higginbotham) Warren.
He married Wanda Beers on July 25, 1959, and she preceded him in death on March 29, 1981.
He is survived by his two sons, Douglas Warren of St. Marys and Pastor Bob (Sheena) Warren of St. Marys, by three grandchildren, Hayden Warren, Whitney Warren and Jessica Root. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, William Root, Matthew Root and Riley Root.
He is survived by two sisters, Mary Warren of Hillsboro and Ludy Storer of St. Marys and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a daughter-in-law, Holly Warren, by his siblings, Roy Jenner, Franklin Jenner, Charles Jenner, Louis Warren and Raymond Warren.
Mr. Warren retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in St. Marys. He enjoyed growing tobacco and fishing. He attended the Shekinah Temple in St. Marys.
Funeral rites for Mr. Warren will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, the Rev. Judy Baker, officiant.
Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to the Auglaize County Council on Aging.
