William H. Cochran, 80

William H. Cochran, 80, of 626 Hendricks Ave., St. Marys, died 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at the Valley Nursing Home in St. Marys.

He was born on Oct. 11, 1932, in Logan County, West Virginia, the son of Thomas and Emma (Scott-Hager) Cochran.

He married Joann Jung on June 22, 1958, in New Bremen,and she preceded him in death on Dec. 7, 2010.

He is survived by his son, Charles (Theresa Crawford) Cochran of New Bremen; by a sister-in-law, Betty Long of Morristown, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and by two sisters: Louise Cochran and Louann Starkey.

Bill retired from Fisher Cheese Company in Wapakoneta after 35 years of service. He attended St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in St. Marys. He enjoyed going to garage sales, listening to bluegrass music, fishing, and spending time in the mountains of West Virginia.

Funeral rites will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, the Rev. Judy Ball officiating. Burial rites will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to Grand Lake Hospice. Condolences may be sent to Bill’s family via Millerfuneralhomes.net
