William E. Burd, 82

William E. Burd, 82, of Celina, died at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Mercer Health in Coldwater, of natural causes.

He was born on Aug. 8, 1930, in New Bremen, to Arthur and Agnes Ridenour Burd, who preceded him in death.

On June 19, 1948, he married Eva Lou Schmidt, who survives in Celina.

Also surviving is a son, Randy (Tina) Burd of Celina; three daughters, Laura (Steve) Billger of Celina, Linda (George) Stott of Knoxville, Tenn. and Kathy (Nick) Perez of Celina; a brother, Richard (Sandra) Burd of Celina; two sisters, Luella (Harold) Muter of Celina and Evelyn “Tots” Horn of Poland; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Burd and Art Burd.

He retired as a supervisor from Goodyear after working there for 40 years.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, the Rev. Jeff Gramza, officiant.

Burial will take place at Mercer Memory Gardens at a later date.

Calling hours will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
