William “Ben” Kelly, 86

William “Ben” Kelly, 86, of Spencerville, died at 9:50 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, following a six-month illness.

He was born on Dec. 2, 1925, in Allen County, to Edward and Elva Stose Kelly, and they preceded him in death.

On May 3, 1952, he married Frances F. Wilges, and she survives him.

He is also survived by two children, Brad W. Kelly and Debra D. (Roger) McMichael, both of Spencerville; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law.

He was preceded in death by three siblings; a brother-in-law.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, with the Rev. Neal Whitney officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the Spencerville Veterans.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
