Willard B. “Red” Dilbone, 93

Willard B. “Red” Dilbone, 93, of Mendon, died at 1:10 a.m. Thursday, June, 16, 2011, at the Laurles of Shane Hill in Rockford.

He was born on March 15, 1918 to Ray and Marie (Pond) Dilbone, and they preceded him in death.

On Dec. 25, 1951, he married Hollies Nolan, and she survives.

He is also survived by two daughters, Carole (Montie) McGillary of Mendon and Audrey (Stephan) Snyder of Mendon; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Richard; a daughter, Shirley; a grandson; three brothers; one sister.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina. Burial is to follow at Mendon Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Memorial contributions may be directed to New Horizons Community Church in Rockford. Condolences may be sent via Ciscofuneralhome.com.
