Shawnee 67, St. Marys 22

Shawnee  scored 22 of the game’s first 25 points and cruised to a 67-22 win over the St. Marys girls basketball team in a WBL opener on Thursday night at Murotech Court.

St. Marys sophomore Reagan Aller scored half of the Riders’ offensive output with a team-high 11 points.

Brittany Lauck paced Shawnee with 14 points, Elizabeth Aller scored 11 points and Smith and Shantay Glenn each added nine points for the Indians.

Wapakoneta 64, Kenton 55

A trifecta of treys in a 73-second stretch in the fourth quarter gave the Wapakoneta Redskins the lead and staked them to 7-point advantage they never relinquished in a battle Thursday against the Kenton Wildcats in their Western Buckeye League opener.

Redskin junior guard Nicole Brown hit back-to-back-to-back 3-pointers to give Wapakoneta a 50-49 lead at the 5:09 mark in the fourth quarter,  putting the Redskins up 56-49.

Bath 47, Celina 32

BATH TOWNSHIP — Bath had three players in double figures and pulled away with a big second half from Celina, 47-32.

Emily Ruhe led Bath with 18 points, Taylor Dackin added 14 and Madison Clark scored 10 points.

Katie Stahl led Celina with nine points, as the Bulldogs slipped to 2-2 on the season.
