Warrant Issued In Bank Robbery

CELINA — The FBI and Celina Police Department continue to investigate a bank robbery that took place Friday afternoon.

At approximately 2:14 p.m., The Peoples Bank, 309 W. Logan St., was robbed. An arrested warrant has been issued for Cody J. Maxwell, 22. According to a news release issued by the Celina Police Department, Maxwell allegedly demanded cash and indicated he had a weapon. Maxwell made off with an undisclosed amount of money taken from the bank teller. Maxwell is believed to have left on foot, heading west. It is also believed that he was picked up in a silver or gray mini van.
