Walter E. “Wally” Dulebohn, 63

Walter E. “Wally” Dulebohn, 63, of Wapakoneta, died at 3:35 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.

He was born on March 4, 1950, in Auglaize County to Charles B. and Viola (Kaeck) Dulebohn,who preceded him in death. 

On Sept. 5, 1981, he married Elaine M. Burris, who survives in Wapakoneta.

Survivors also include two sons and two daughters, Jim (Jess) Dulebohn, Jeremy (Jenny) Dulebohn, Melissa (Mark Daniel) Bartlett all of Wapakoneta and Sherri (Omar Veerjee) Ault of Pickerington; 11 grandchildren, Gabby, Austin and Hunter Dulebohn, Zak, Tyler and Colby Dulebohn, Mia and Marshall Bartlett, Lindsay and Benjamin Ault, Aiden Veerjee; four sisters, Jean (William) Ott, Carolyn (John) Hudnall both of Wapakoneta, Marilyn (Joseph) Garcia of Cridersville, Doris Cottrell of Sarasota, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis and Norman Dulebohn.

Wally was 1968 graduate of Wapakoneta Senior High School.  After graduation, he spent six years in the Army National Guard.  He then retired after 41 years of service with the Telephone Service Company in Wapakoneta.  He also did tree trimming.  He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and especially traveling.

Funeral services are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Schlosser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Wapakoneta, the Rev. Dana Bjorlin, officiating. 

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta with military rites being performed by the VFW Post 8445.  Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
