CELINA — The Celina volleyball team won 12 of the first 13 points of Thursday night’s volleyball rivalry match with St. Marys and never looked back.
Celina built comfortable leads in the first two set and then rallied back from a seven-point deficit in the third set to earn the 25-12, 25-18, 25-21 win at West School in Celina on Thursday.
“It’s not how we wanted to start the match,” St. Marys head coach Tricia Rosenbeck said. “We came in with a lot of confidence thinking that we could play with them. We kind of let down from the beginning. It was kind of like they got that lead and we were second-guessing ourselves.”

Reagan Aller led St. Marys with six kills.
The Roughriders slipped to 4-9, 2-2 in the Western Buckeye League.
