Virginia Madeline Dicke, 82

Virginia Madeline Dicke, 82, of Ohio City, died at 9:33 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at CHP Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert.

She was born on Jan. 31, 1930, in Wapakoneta, to Frank Veit and Mary (Rinehart), and they preceded her in death.

On June 5, 1948, she married Donald Willis Dicke, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 2008.

She is survived by four sons, Gary W. (Janell) Dicke of Sevierville, Tenn., D. Bruce (Barb) Dicke of Decatur, Ind., David L. (Karen) Dicke of Ohio City and Doug (Anna) Dicke and Decatur, Ind.; a daughter, Linda S. (James) Prowse of Convoy; a brother; a brother-in-law; a sister-in-law; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild; a brother; a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Randy Bevington officiating. Burial will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
