By MIKE BURKHOLDER Managing Editor ST. MARYS — The St. Marys Police Department could soon add a two-wheeled vehicle to its fleet.
City Councilors today are scheduled to vote on a measure to authorize $15,000 for the lease of a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle for use by the police department. According to a proposed ordinance, $1,000 is needed to cover the annual lease with the remaining funds covering the purchase of equipment to outfit the motorcycle. Councilors also are expected to vote on an emergency resolution to assess the cost of two demolitions in the city. The proposed resolution calls for a total of $1,919.96 to be assessed for the removal of structures at 428 N. Front St. and 905 E. Spring St. The city council meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. today in the city building. located along East Spring Street. The meeting is open to the public. |
