Edison H. Kruse, 94, of Kettlersville, OH, died at 1:50 p.m., Thursday July 3, 2008, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 23, 1914, in Auglaize County, the son of Harvey and Melinda (Kuck) Kruse, and they preceded him in death. On June 14, 1932, he married Gladys L. McCullough, and she preceded in death on July 27, 1990. He is survived by a son, Emerson L. (Carol) Kruse of Botkins; four grandchildren, Sharon E. (Patrick) Baumer, Christine (Bill) Fogt, Susan (Dave) Griffith, Chuck (Amy Clink) Kruse; seven great-grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Kruse. He was a life long farmer until his retirement and a member of the former Olive Branch United Methodist Church in Shinbone. An avid horse race fan, he had attended Blume High School in Wapakoneta. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta with Revs. Charles Moeller and Dennis Gaertner officiating. Burial is to follow in the Evangelical Protestant Cemetery, New Knoxville. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p..m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.l, Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Anna Rescue Squad. |
