From Staff Reports Van Wert High School’s Eggress Stadium will play host to the annual Western Buckeye League vs. Northwest Conference/ Midwest Athletic Conference football game on Friday night, with a host of local graduates playing in the game.
St. Marys will feature seven players on the WBL roster, including all-time Roughrider rusher Koby Frye, who will be playing at St. Francis next fall. Derek Dunlap will attend Bluffton to play football next fall and will play for the WBL as a wide receiver and defensive back. Brad Frazier is a 6-1, 185-pound linebacker from St. Marys. Sam Rammel is a St. Marys grad who plays fullback and linebacker. Adam Knous was a defensive end for the Roughriders and will play for the WBL. Jared Seaver is a 6-2, 290-pound center who will continue his career in the fall. Jordan Crouch is an offensive lineman who graduated from St. Marys. Todd Clark of Bath will be the WBL team’s coach. New Bremen running back Brennon Speckman will play for the NWC/MAC team. Ed Kuhn of Parkway High School will coach the NWC/MAC squad. Wapakoneta’s Brad Steinke will play for the WBL team along with Celina’s Cole Schaffner. |
