By BRIAN SMITH Sports Editor CELINA — Former St. Marys basketball player Donnie Carroll will play basketball for Wright State-Lake Campus next year.
The forward adds depthto a front line that lost several key players last year, Lakers coach Mark Ashman said on Tuesday. Carroll will study middle childhood education. Ashman was Carroll’s personal trainer during his early high school years, so the move was a perfect fit, Carroll said. And having family close by to watch his games is a plus. “It will be fun,” Carroll said, “having family just fifteen minutes away to come watch my games.” Ashman said he only recruits local kids, because he knows their work ethic and desire to play his style of game. |
