Bill Burden Sr. 76, 597 Locust St., St. Marys, died at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born Nov. 12, 1933, in Wapakoneta, a son of Vernon and Agnes (Winemiller) Burden.
On March 9, 1957, he married Edythe Triplett, she survives at the residence.
He is also survived by his two children, Bill Burden Jr. of Columbus, Angela Burden of St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Ruth Burden of Wapakoneta; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Dorothy Burden, Dean Burden, Donald Burden, Wayne Burden.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War.
He was retired from Huffy Manufacturing in Celina. He loved watching football. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Ed and Sandy Whitman for their help and support during this difficult time.
Graveside burial rites, with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Memory Gardens with Darrel Pennington officiating.
Memorial donations may be directed to the American Lung Association in care of Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys. Condolences may be expressed to the family at Millerfuneralhomes.net.
