Leona R. Egbert, 92, of 10001 Lock Two Road, Botkins, died  at 4:47 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at the Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney.  She was born on Jan. 9, 1917, near New Knoxville, a daughter of Ben and Bertha (Hoge) Jauert. 
On Aug. 1, 1936, she married Willis J. Egbert who died Aug. 7, 1984. 
She is survived by her son, Dale (Jeanne) Egbert of New Knoxville; her daughter-in-law, Janet Egbert Naseman of Sidney; six grandchildren, Michael (Doni Heitfeld) Egbert of Botkins, Kristi (Gregg) Wildermuth of Anna, Susan (Larry) Brown of Smithville, Lori (Mark) Elsass of Anna, Dr. Bradley (Lisa) Egbert of Kettering, and Melanie (Troy) Stevens of Columbus; 15 great-grandchildren, Ashley Egbert, Brian Egbert, Shawn Egbert, Sarah Wildermuth, Racheal (Jeff) Turner, Abby Brown, Kristin Brown, Ben Elsass, Emily Elsass, Matthew Elsass, David Egbert, Sara Egbert, Matthew Egbert, Logan Stevens and Molly Stevens; great-great-grandchildren Layla and Tyson, her sister LaVera (Carl Werling of Freyburg; her sister-in-law Helen Jauert of Wapakoneta.
She was preceded in death by her son, David E. Egbert; three brothers, Wilbur, Vernon "Buck" and Elmer Jauert.
Mrs. Egbert was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Kettlersville, where she had been active in the Church Guild, taught Sunday School and had served as Sunday School Superintendent.  She was a 1933 graduate of Blume High School in Wapakoneta.  She was a homemaker and helped on the family farm for many years.
 Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Kettlersville with the Rev. Charles Moeller officiating.  Burial will follow in the Willow Grove Cemetery in New Bremen. 
Calling hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Wednesday, at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen and one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church memorial fund.
